We have an excellent team of staff as follows:



Chloe Arnold, Yard Manager


Chloe has numerous years experience working with liveries, eventers, dressage horses and youngsters. She was previously Yard Manager at prestigous Headley Stud. She has also freelanced for Spencer Wilton and she has her HGV licence and tractor licence.


Kim Tiurney, Deputy Head Groom


Kim has spent a lifetime in racing yards, most recently 8 years at Park House Stables, Kingsclere with Ian Balding. Now turning her hand to dressage livery but is she is used to riding out fit race horses and still rides out locally.

Melissa Dawes, Emily Evans and Luella Kent, Part time Grooms


Melissa, Emily and Luella complete the team and have all been working with us for a considerable time now as they combine work with academic studies.

Fairoak Riders - both are Advanced riders and Fiona recently became Regional Elementary Champion and Medium Reserve Champion.


Jo Webb, Show Secretary


Jo has her own her own horse and competes affiliated dressage as well as show jumping. She also has a lot of experience with BE and local Pony Clubs for whom she coaches and she is a BD judge.

Career opportunities


Grooms quartersGrooms can receive training towards NVQ and/or BHS qualifications if required and in the past we have trained grooms to BHSAI and NVQ III level.

Grooms sometimes get the opportunity to compete, typically in dressage and showjumping, sometimes even at affiliated level (depending upon ability) and in the past have competed client horses up to Advanced Medium.

Grooms have gone on from Fairoak to a variety of equestrian positions including other Advanced dressage riders and trainers, Spencer Wilton, Schockemohle, James Burtwell and international show jumper Paul Crago as well as related careers such as veterinary nurses, managing livery yards and Equine Hospital grooms.

They also become involved in the range of activities at Fairoak including producing youngsters and organising competitions.
